Cecil's post-death room (DRRP)

On the desk:
  • An empty coffee cup. A large spider has built its web on the interior and taken to living here since Cecil's death, and rooting around the inside will reveal an egg sac.
  • A watch. It's not a particularly expensive or distinctive watch, with a worn leather band, but it's crafted well enough and the timepiece still works.
  • A very nice-looking card decorated with a black ribbon, some glitter, and a bird skeleton. If you hold it to your ear, you can hear a distant weeping. Inside a child has written "I love you, uncle Cecil! --Janice" in messy handwriting.
  • A stack of papers all written in Navajo. It appears to be a list of all the students and their various threat levels, or Cecil's other opinions on them. Some things have been circled or annotated, but it's mostly indecipherable apart from names. Another stack, also in Navajo, appears to be a journal of sorts from the dates that make up the header on each page.
  • An envelope from the regret motive. Inside is a picture of a paddle, like the kind used in auctions. The back of the picture has the text "LOT #37" scrawled on it in handwriting no one here recognizes.
  • A Showa Radio that looks like it was obtained from the Monomono machine, mostly because it was
  • A slip of paper containing his secret.
  • The DVD from the second motive.
On the bed:
  • A self-erasing cassette underneath the pillow.
  • The bed is unkempt and unmade
  • Some tumbleweeds on the floor
  • Some books at the foot of the bed. One of them is a book of photos of mesas and desert flowers and animals from the Sonoran Desert; others are on various subjects, mostly involving angels, dream interpretation or various poisons. All of the books are written in either English or Spanish.
In the trash:
  • A picture of a smiling, eyeless woman in blood-spattered clothing is crumpled up at the top. The portrait is riddled with arrow holes.
  • A crumpled-up piece of paper with only the words "BELIEVE IN A SMILING GOD"
  • An entire bottle of brandy drained of its contents and tossed carelessly in the trash. No, it doesn't smell of almonds. It doesn't smell of anything except brandy and possibly loneliness and suffering.

On the walls (note that this was before the property damage rule):
  • Large pictures of Carlos and Janice pinned near Cecil's bed, along with pictures of some floating cats (complete with spinal ridges and tendril hubs). Notably, the picture of Carlos has his name on it, surrounded by several hearts.
  • Sketches of various landmarks around Night Vale--the Whispering Forest, the Brownstone Spire, the Lights above the Arby's, etc.
  • Some badly-drawn sketches of mutated deer and a single sketch of an angel--black wings, many eyes, elongated and terrible body--surrounding the pictures of Carlos and Janice
  • Bright pink runes, smeared in some places but otherwise with excellent detailing, at the head of Cecil's bed.
